Aye! My friend Febriyan Arif has posted on his blog about his dreamescape, New York. Inspired, I want to share mine also, absobloodytely, London. Keep calm and happy reading, chap!
You take me to Camden Town
As you share your headphones
With the Kinks and the Rolling Stones
As you walk around
In your leather boots
All the boys are staring
But you're not caring
'Cuz you're so rock and roll
―Greyson Chance (Little London Girl)
What comes on mind?
Is it THE BEATLES? Charles Dickens? Shakespeare? Genius Sherlock Holmes? Charlie Chaplin? Rowan Atkinson? The great Alexander McQueen? Alexa Chung? The Famous Royal Family? ONE DIRECTION AND LIAM PAYNE? The sexy red telephone box? Fish and chips? Tea time???
Well, let's wear our helmet and walk around. London is home to some 300 theatres, 500 cinema screens and 12,000 restaurants. London is home to 43 universities - the largest concentration of higher education in Europe. London has four UNESCO world heritage sites: Tower of London, Maritime Greenwich, Westminster Palace, Kew's Royal Botanic Gardens. More billionaires live in London than any other city in the world. There were 14,350 film “shooting days” in London in 2007, making it the third most filmed city in the world. Around 26,000 members of the world’s media will base themselves in the capital to cover the Games, making London 2012 the biggest media event in history. 85 per cent of UK's fashion designers are based in London, responsible for a large proportion of the £21 billion profits of UK fashion.
Think what that money could bring
I'd buy everything
Clean out Vivienne Westwood
In my Galliano gown
No, wouldn't just have one hood
A Hollywood mansion if I could
Please book me first class to my fancy house in London town
―Gwen Stefani (Rich Girl)
I wish I will have that chance to go there someday, not for staying maybe, but only a vacation. But really it will be overexcitingly great! I want to have that british english! And so many on. Or maybe, anyone has the same ideas? :)
